Director of Nursing
Brief info
Cricket was born and raised in Pennsylvania in the middle of Amish Country. During her junior year of high school, she pre-enlisted in the United States Navy and left for boot camp on her 19th birthday. After 6 years, she decided to leave the Navy and enrolled in the RN program at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She has spent more than 30 years as an RN caring for people of all ages, but her passion has always been geriatrics and hospice. She states, “I have always loved to sit with older people and listen to their stories. I learned so much from them over the years”. Cricket has been to 49 of the 50 states and over 15 foreign countries immersing herself in the many cultures of the world. When she isn’t with her residents, her love for dogs becomes the center of her world. Currently, she owns 2 Mastiffs. Waldo is a 4-year-old brindle champion and Phoenix is a 16-month-old apricot who is well on her way to her championship. Cricket shows her own dogs, and her dream is to show at the acclaimed Westminster Dog Show.
